Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee delivered a powerful address at Trinamool Congress's Shaheed Diwas rally in Kolkata, urging party members to prioritize integrity, service, and respect for all communities. Against the backdrop of heavy rain, which did not deter the gathering, Banerjee emphasized the need for municipal and panchayat representatives, MLAs, and MPs to uphold a sterling record free from complaints.
"I want Trinamool workers to become friends of the people," Banerjee declared, setting a high standard for public service. She warned against any form of injustice or corruption, asserting her commitment to holding all accountable, regardless of party affiliation. "Everyone knows that if any injustice is done, I do not spare even TMC members and ensure their arrest," she affirmed, underlining her zero-tolerance policy towards malpractice.
Respecting diversity and inclusivity, Mamata Banerjee stressed, "Respect women, SC, ST, OBC, minorities and people of all backgrounds." Her message resonated with the crowd as she commemorated the sacrifices of martyrs, urging everyone to uphold their memory and ideals.
Addressing the issue of leadership within Trinamool Congress, Banerjee emphasized a collective ethos, stating, "There is no leader in Trinamool, everyone is a worker." This statement underscored the party's commitment to a unified approach towards governance and service.
